Spring Engagement Photography in Templestowe
The cherry blossoms were out, the sun finally stuck around for more than two hours, and there were more buzzing insects than I remembered the week before – classic Melbourne spring! And with love in the air (and a smidge of pollen too), it was the perfect time to photograph Nic and Hayley’s engagement session in advance of their big wedding at Tatra.

A Beautiful Day on the Yarra
We ventured to one of my favourite riverside spots in Templestowe (near Eltham and Warrandyte) for their spring engagement photos, and it absolutely delivered. Camellias, daffodils, fruit tree blossoms – it felt like nature had booked itself a styling consult! Add in Nic and Hayley’s sweet, natural chemistry and thoughtful outfit choices, and the whole shoot felt like flipping through the pages of a love story. As everyone who knows them can attest, these two are just gorgeous together, and it really shines through in every frame.

Why Engagement Sessions Are Always a Win
I’m always thrilled when couples opt for an engagement session — it’s such a lovely way to ease into being in front of the camera. Whether timed with a hair and makeup trial or just carved out as a chance to connect, these shoots help shake off the nerves, build confidence, and create relaxed, beautiful portraits in a low-pressure setting. Engagement photography sessions like this one make the wedding photography of the big day flow even smoother when it comes around. Plus, the photos can be used in so many ways: save-the-dates, invites, guest books, wedding websites… or just framed around the house as a little reminder of the special chapter before “I do.”

A Perfect Spring Session
Nic and Hayley brought the sunshine in more ways than one, and I loved every minute of this beautiful afternoon shoot. Scroll through the photos and you’ll see what I mean… these two are – and always will be – so very much in love.
