Croatian Wedding Photography in Melbourne
EEvery culture brings its own flavour to a wedding day – and Annie and Stipo’s Croatian celebration was bursting with tradition, joy, and personality from beginning to end. It was such a pleasure to photograph this incredible day across Melbourne, filled with colour, heartfelt moments, and so much dancing!
Croatian Wedding In Melbourne – A Big Day From the Start
The day began bright and early, with both households absolutely buzzing – music, food, flowers, and full hearts all around. Annie’s stunning lace dress was beautifully complemented by her white umbrella, which became both a practical and aesthetic feature of the day. The grey skies didn’t stand a chance against the joy in the air. There’s something extra cosy and romantic about a rainy wedding day, especially when you’ve got great planning and some stylish backup locations in play.
Ceremony at St Nicholas Church, Clifton Hill
Annie and Stipo made a stylish entrance in two lovingly restored Ford Falcon GTs. The ceremony took place at the historic St Nicholas Croatian Catholic Church – a longstanding cornerstone of Melbourne’s Croatian community. The church’s heritage charm and warm interiors made for some seriously beautiful moments… and the energy inside more than made up for the drizzle outdoors!
Navigating Melbourne’s Rainy Day Photo Spots
Melbourne’s CBD is full of hidden gems, and even wild weather can’t stop a determined photographer with a good plan! From historic arcades to tucked-away laneways (and a few generous building owners), there’s always a sheltered spot with stunning light. Annie and Stipo were total troopers — braving the elements and absolutely glowing in the soft afternoon rain. One particularly dreamy highlight? Annie, radiant under a wall of green lanterns, absolutely owning the moment.
