Hi, I’m Michelle – thanks so much for stopping by! I’m Pause The Moment, and since 2014, I’ve had the privilege of documenting weddings across Melbourne. Every wedding is completely different, and that’s one of the things I love most. Some couples spend the whole day laughing, others cry through every speech. Some dance until their feet hurt, while others simply want a relaxed afternoon surrounded by the people they love. I’m drawn to all the moments that happen naturally… the giggle that wasn’t planned, the proud smile from a parent across the room, a quiet breath just before walking down the aisle, or the way two people naturally find each other’s eyes again while all the excitement carries on around them. A lot of my couples tell me they’re nervous about having their photo taken because they don’t know what to do in front of a camera, and that’s perfectly okay. My job isn’t to turn your wedding into one long photoshoot – it’s to allow you to enjoy every minute of it, knowing you’ll get to relive it all again though my work.
Pause the Moment…
When you choose Pause The Moment, you’re choosing me. I’ll be the one answering your emails, photographing your wedding, and personally editing every image that ends up in your gallery (which tends to be… rather more than extensive!) drawing on more than a decade’s experience photographing weddings ranging from intimate backyard ceremonies to enormous pyrotechnic-filled celebrations. I’ve learned that the best wedding photography isn’t about constantly directing people but rather about knowing when to blend into the background, when to gently guide things along, and how to read the room so everyone always feels comfortable. While weddings are where my heart is, I also love photographing families, celebrations and all the milestones that deserve to be remembered. Whatever the occasion, my goal is the same: to create photographs that become even more meaningful with every passing year. I delight in you having beautiful portraits of course, and am thrilled to have my work featured on so many walls and mantelpieces all over the world! But even more than that, I hope you look back on your gallery years from now and remember exactly how it felt to be there.

It is an honour to have been re-nominated in 2026 by Vogue Ballroom and Vines of the Yarra Valley as one of Victoria’s best wedding photographers.
It was also a thrill to be to be mentioned by Brighton Savoy as one of Melbourne’s best wedding photographers, and shortlisted for Easy Weddings’ Melbourne Photographer of the Year, thanks to the celebrations of not one but three (outrageously) gorgeous Pause The Moment couples!
