Clare and Christian’s beautiful wedding at Genazzano FCJ College and Yarra Valley Lodge was the kind of day that reminds me just how magical wedding photography can be. Between the elegant chapel, the lush gardens, and a sunset photo session complete with golf carts and sweeping views – this one had it all. I was so thrilled to be their wedding photographer and to help capture such a meaningful day.
A Ceremony at Genazzano College, Kew
The ceremony took place at Genazzano FCJ College, a venue known for its leafy grounds and beautiful historic chapel. A perfect and meaningful location for Clare who had enjoyed her school days at Genazzano and made lifelong friendships there. Clare and Christian chose a bold royal blue as their signature wedding colour, and it absolutely popped. From the bridesmaids’ dresses to the ties and styling touches, this cohesive palette brought everything together visually and looked amazing in photos.
Golf Carts and Golden Hour at Yarra Valley Lodge
After the ceremony, we headed to Yarra Valley Lodge for the reception, and a photo session that felt more like an adventure. The venue kindly provided golf carts, which meant we could roam the estate, taking in the dramatic oaks, gentle slopes, and distant views of the Yarra Valley. It was the perfect blend of fun and elegance, and the light couldn’t have been better. Clare and Christian’s relaxed energy made the portraits effortless – everyone could tell at a glance how deeply in love they are! The whole day ran beautifully, and the heartfelt reception speeches capped off what had already been an incredibly moving and joyful experience.

It was a real privilege to document this day for Clare and Christian. Their venues were stunning, their people were warm, and their story was one worth telling. Another special detail that made this wedding feel particularly meaningful was the repeat-client element and personal connection: Clare and Christian’s choice to book me based on a positive experience Clare had while being a bridesmaid for Emily and Nick… with Emily being one of my best friends from primary school back in the ’90s! 🥹 It is always such a delight to be invited back to document and witness the love stories of friendship groups and extended families.
