Harriet and Sebastian

Maribyrnong Boathouse Wedding photography

Harriet and Sebastian’s Maribyrnong Boathouse wedding was as joyful as it was heartfelt — a true family celebration, filled with music, laughter, and love. With every young family member involved in the ceremony, from page boys to flower girls, it felt like the kind of wedding that brings generations together in the most meaningful ways.

A Family-Focused Ceremony by the River

The ceremony took place on the riverside lawn, framed by a stunning floral arch bursting with native blooms. Harriet and Seb’s son stood proudly on his dad’s hip as vows were exchanged — a sweet reminder that this day was as much about family as it was about the two of them. Even the celebrant got in on the family-friendly fun, handing out jelly snakes to the kids as they reached the front! Live music played by friends and family made the whole event feel relaxed and personal — a celebration of connection as much as commitment.

Wedding Photography at Maribyrnong Boathouse

One of the best things about the Maribyrnong Boathouse is how easily it allows a couple to keep everything in one place. From ceremony to canapés, the venue’s seamless layout meant no one missed a thing. Straight after the ceremony, we gathered everyone for a big group shot, then snuck away for some smaller group portraits and couple photos while guests enjoyed the gorgeous riverside reception. The speeches were some of the best — full of belly laughs and genuinely moving tributes. It was the kind of night where you leave with a full heart and a sore face from smiling.

A Riverside Wedding to Remember

It was such a pleasure to be part of Harriet and Seb’s wedding day and to capture the genuine warmth and community that surrounded them. If you’re planning a relaxed, family-focused celebration and want to keep everything close and easy, the Maribyrnong Boathouse might be just the spot. Thanks again to Harriet and Seb for trusting Pause The Moment to capture their love story by the river!
