Melbourne Wedding and Family Photography
Wedding and family photography in Melbourne and its surrounds are what we love. Even more than that, we love our clients coming back to us with their growing families! Steph and Reece were our clients when they tied the knot in a surprise wedding ceremony in 2017. We were so excited when they contacted us upon the arrival of their baby boy. The opportunity to photograph them again was too good to pass up!
Family Photography - Choosing the right location
One of the things that we love about photographing families is that each session is unique. This family session was no exception. We chose to do the shoot at their home, which was filled with grandparents who were there to say hello to the baby! It was a great location for capturing the family's natural interactions. The skylight and the kitchen wall were almost as good as a studio! Afterwards, we were set to head to a local park as the sun set for some outdoor portraits. Steph and Reece chose casual outfits that reflected their personalities. To add a fun twist to the session, we also took some photos in Steph and Reece's respective football club jerseys. This Bubba has a hard choice to make later in life!
Wedding photography, six years, then a Family session!
Having shot their wedding 6 years ago, Steph and Reece were well aware of the importance of timing your outdoor photos with the long, golden evening light. We went for a walk to take some photographs in the park. The Grandparents joined us, and it was an excellent opportunity to capture some beautiful family moments. A bush setting around the golden hour makes fabulous wedding and family photography possible, that's for sure!

Photographing a family with a newborn whose wedding we photographed 6 years ago was a beautiful experience.
