Lynda and Lambros

A Joyful Greek Orthodox Ceremony at St Anargiri

This wedding was brimming with laughs and infectious joy from the very beginning to the end of their No. 1 Events Malvern wedding celebrations! Lynda and Lambros’ gorgeous afternoon began with warm family reunions on the church steps. Lynda arrived by limousine, glowing and excited, staying tucked around the corner of the church as the guests moved inside. Lynda and Lambros’ two beautiful daughters, filled with anticipation, accompanied her in matching pink dresses with lovely rose details.

As the music swelled, Lynda’s father walked her down the aisle to her beaming groom where they greeted each other with handshakes and hugs. Lynda and Lambros stole so many sweet glances at each other that were a delight to capture – the two just exuded that unmistakable just-about-to-be-married glow!

During the Greek Orthodox wedding service the priest placed the stefana (wedding crowns) and offered blessings in English and Greek. There were smiles, a few happy tears, and SO many hugs afterwards. The newlyweds signed with a feathered pen, gathered everyone for a group photo inside, then stepped out into the afternoon light together for more laughs and embraces.

Portraits Outside at No. 1 Events Malvern

From the church we drove to the reception location for portraits outdoors – joyful, relaxed frames on the lawn, a few candid laughs in between, and some sweet combinations with family. They took their girls for a walk across the bridge for dozens of pecial family-of-four portraits. A favourite: four hands stacked together, big and small, new rings and all. Then Lynda and Lambros took a quiet stroll through the more wooded corners nearby for dozens more natural and giggle-filled couple portraits before heading inside to greet their guests.

A Light-Filled Reception at No. 1 Events Malvern

No. 1 Events Malvern is all bright glass and contemporary lines, bringing the outside world inside. This stunning venue is the perfect for both detailed shots and all those excited pre-reception hellos as canapés circle around. Once everyone was seated, the bridal party made their rock-star entrances, and Lynda & Lambros burst in to the room with the booming of “All I Need Is Your Love Tonight” with guests on their feet, shouting and clapping along. The official cake-cutting and heartfelt toasts set such a joyful tone, followed by a choreographed first dance that had the whole room euphoric and ready to leap onto the dance floor.

Speeches, Greek Dancing & A Sparkling Surprise

Speeches were funny, grateful, and beautifully heartfelt, then the party shifted gears with classic Greek wedding dancing: lines and circles, hands linked, linen waving, that irresistible rhythm leading everyone around the floor. Then – a scheduled surprise – an incredibly talented belly dancer arrived with luminous LED wings and a sword-balance act that wowed the room! Lynda joined in, the whole family laughing and twirling under the lights. Later, a tender father daughter dance and more speeches lit everyone up even more. A happily crowded dance floor kept the night rolling while the DJ spun favourites including Greek music and Aussie classics – allowing kids and grown-ups to show their moves!

What a party! Congratulations to Lynda and Lambros on working together to create such an idyllic and beautiful day for all their loved ones. From the crowns and blessings to the Greek dancing and big laughs …everything was pure magic. Planning your own Greek wedding or a celebration at No. 1 Events Malvern?
