Part One: A Heartfelt Ceremony at the Old Treasury Building
An intimate midweek celebration full of warmth, emotion, and Spring Street charm! Some weddings take years to plan. Others, like Anapaula and Tim’s, come together with quiet grace, a relaxed attitude, and a whole lot of love. Held on a Thursday afternoon at the iconic Old Treasury Building in Melbourne, their ceremony was simple in structure but rich in meaning.

We began with family portraits out the front on Spring Street, where the classic columns and grand steps set the tone for timeless, editorial-style images. There were hugs, laughs, and even a very well-dressed and beloved Labrador in the mix… with far too many beautiful family moments to fit into one post! These pre-ceremony portraits captured exactly what Anapaula had hoped for: something real, not overly posed, and full of love.

Portraits in the Treasury Gardens
Just a minute’s walk across from the Old Treasury Building, Melbourne’s Treasury Gardens gave us the dreamiest tree-lined walkways for a stroll and a laugh (or ten). With soft light diffused through the clouds and just a touch of that romantic Melbourne drizzle, we moved through relaxed portraits, interspersed with joyful candid moments. These gardens are a local favourite for good reason: long symmetrical paths, towering trees …and ducks on the lake! Whether it was Anapaula’s radiant smile or Tim’s quiet steadiness, the vibe here was effortless and full of genuine connection. No need for stiff poses, just lots of different combinations of family – portraits to treasure.

A Personal Ceremony in the Margaret Craig Room
Back inside the Margaret Craig Room, the larger of the two registry spaces, guests took their seats for an emotional and beautifully simple ceremony. With no bridal party, simple sweet music down the aisle, and just a gentle hush in the air, all eyes were on Anapaula and Tim as they made their vows official. From the moment she walked in, there were teary eyes and big grins all around. The celebrant led with warmth, and even the laughs and smiles shared during the signing of documents felt deeply personal. It was a ceremony that felt grounded – two people honouring their love, surrounded by those who mattered most.

More to Come: A Saturday Night Celebration at Kooyong
This sweet Thursday registry ceremony was just the beginning! Two days later, Anapaula and Tim would gather again – this time at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, for cocktails, dancing, and a second outfit reveal (yes, a different but equally stunning wedding dress… and a bigger guest list with many relatives from Mexico)! Part Two of their wedding story is coming soon featuring portraits, speeches, candid moments a-plenty and late-night dancefloor magic! But for now, we’ll leave you with this first chapter: heartfelt, elegant, and so very beautifully Melbourne!
