SANDRINGHAM BEACH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Laura and Liam tied the knot at a beautiful Sandringham Beach wedding in November. Their Sandringham beach wedding was magnificently styled and perfectly executed. A gorgeous old car, a stop at Carlton Gardens for a first look, and a spectacular sunset ensured a wonderful set of photos. They were so lucky with the weather, and we were so lucky that they chose us to be their Melbourne wedding photographers!
Carlton Gardens - First Look wedding photography
Laura and Liam had their hearts set on a first look in Melbourne’s Carlton Gardens. We find our brides are pretty much divided on whether or not to do a first look before the ceremony. Some like to wait until they walk down the aisle for the big reveal. Personally we love the idea! It takes a lot of the pressure off before the ceremony, makes for great photos and also allows the couple to shoot some photos together before the ceremony. Laura and Liam’s first look was just stunning. It was late enough in the day that the light was perfect coming through the trees at the Royal Exhibition Building. As Laura snuck up behind Liam, his sense of anticipation was palpable! The photos turned out almost as gorgeous as this beautiful couple!
Sunset Wedding Photography on Sandringham Beach
The eastern side of Port Phillip Bay has so many beautiful west-facing beaches. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world to watch the sun go down. Good planning increases your chances of stunning wedding photography tenfold. Laura and Liam simply nailed it. In consultation with us, they realised that the hour between 7:45 pm and 8:45 pm would be the perfect time for a Sandringham beach wedding photoshoot. They duly blocked out a big section in the middle of their reception so we could head to the beach and take their final formal portraits for the day. The weather obliged, and their photos turned out exactly as we hoped they would!

Wedding Reception at Sandringham Yacht Club
With the formalities over (including the best backdrop for speeches we have ever seen) it was time to party! The food at the Sandringham Yacht Club was absolutely to die for. The drinks were free-flowing, and the band kept everyone grooving long into the night. These Melbourne wedding photographers had a wonderful time with this lovely couple at this famous venue, and we look forward to photographing another Sandringham beach wedding there soon!
