Melbourne Cake Smash Photography
Cake smash photography is a lot of fun. We don't get to do it as much as we like, so today, we're going back in time to visit our good friends Raj and Pooja and their gorgeous daughter Sarita. We captured these images in 2017 and are so excited to re-share them! Enjoy this trip down memory lane - we did!
Styling Your Cake Smash
The beautiful backdrop Raj and Pooja had set up blew us away! Pastel pink and white streamers and pom-poms adorned a white wall, creating the perfect setting for their cake smash. Neutral colours with soft accents are a great way to style any photo shoot! Pooja and Raj nailed it!
Pre-Cake-Smash Family Portraits
Before the cake smash began, we took some informal family portraits. The proud parents wore white tops to match each other, ensuring all the focus was on Sarita and her big day. And let's not forget about Sarita's gorgeous outfit: a cute white dress and a string of pearls!
Next, it was time to let Sarita loose on the cake. At first, she was a bit hesitant, but she quickly got the hang of it and started exploring the cake. The pink icing on a cream-coloured base complemented the entire setting perfectly. The white dress highlighted the mess without looking messy. It was cute as all get out! Sarita looked like she was enjoying her cake smash photography experience a lot.
Parents Join in the Fun
Sarita did a fantastic job smashing the cake, so it was time for her parents to join in! Having them on set added a whole new dimension of fun and made for some adorable images. We love capturing the joy and laughter of families during cake smash sessions!
We took one last close-up of the demolished cake as our time together ended. It was a sweet ending to a fantastic cake smash in Melbourne. We said our goodbyes and left with full hearts, knowing we'd captured some lovely memories for Sarita's family.
