Lina and Will’s unforgettable Melbourne wedding was pure joy from beginning to end – even with the skies opening up for one of the rainiest days of the year! These two radiated positivity, making it an absolute pleasure to capture their love story once again. Having photographed these two for their engagement photos in the spring, it was a treat to reunite and document their big day.
Planning for a Rainy Wedding Day
Lina and Will approached their wedding day with such grace and good humour. Their careful planning and eye for detail were evident throughout – not even record-breaking rain (the “wettest Melbourne weekend in 25 years”!!!) could dampen their spirits. Their smiles were infectious, and their wet weather wedding photography is filled with laughter, tenderness, and gorgeous glances that say it all. Armed with clear umbrellas and unstoppable joy, they embraced the challenge. We found dry pockets in Carlton Gardens and around the Royal Exhibition Building, using the dramatic skies and elegant architecture to our advantage. The result? Rain-soaked romance and timeless images that turn a grey day into pure gold.
