YARRA VALLEY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Nestled down the whimsically named Maddens Lane in Coldstream is one of the prettiest little wineries I have been to in a while! Tokar Estate was the chosen location for Christopher and Christina to tie the knot. I’ve been to Tokar on more than one occasion for lunch, but it never really crossed my mind that it would make an excellent venue for Yarra Valley wedding photography – until I got out of the car that morning! Christina, on the other hand, clearly knew that it would! The gorgeous wine, the rose garden, and the stunning backdrop of the vineyards and mountains. These guys were on to something!

MELBOURNE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – AN EARLY START

As usual, I woke up very early. Even though I follow a very thorough checklist the day before a wedding photography gig, I somehow still get nervous. I always wake up early on the day. I suppose one day this might help me if I forget something! We headed to the bride’s house and the hairdresser around 9:30 am. This gave us plenty of time to create some exceptional pre-wedding photographs!

TOKAR ESTATE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

From the moment I drove up the long gravel driveway at Tokar, I knew that it was a perfect place for Yarra Valley wedding photography. The lines of the vines as they rolled up and down hills, the curling driveway, and the soft yellow buildings against the blue sky all made for a beautiful location. Off in the distance, the mountains of the Great Dividing Range slowly lift out of the valley as you look north.
A lovely tree in the gardens of the homestead at Tokar provided some shade for the bride and groom, and also made a lovely backdrop for an intimate ceremony.

YARRA VALLEY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS AT BELLA VEDERE

Bella Vedere is located around the corner from Tokar Estate on the Maroondah Highway. Gary Cooper has spent the last decade building relationships with local artisan farmers to fuel his philosophy of serving fresh food every single day.
It’s a very intimate restaurant, which makes for a pleasant, warm feeling atmosphere. It’s a bit like a country pub without the pub bit! Christina and Chris’ choice of reception venue was superb. There were plenty of little details that made you feel like you were at home, and stepping out the back door had you in the vineyards in seconds – the perfect place for some more Yarra Valley wedding photography.

Chris and Christina’s photos were just stunning. They planned their wedding perfectly, and it went off without a hitch! We wish them all the very best for their future together!
